COVID-19 Updates

BEFORE YOUR VISIT

  1. If you have had any of the following signs or symptoms please call our office to reschedule your appointment:
    • fever in the last 14 – 21 days
    • shortness of breath or difficulties breathing
    • cough
    • other flu-like symptoms such as gastrointestinal upset, headache or fatigue
  2. Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. Unfortunately, that might mean you’re offered fewer options for scheduling appointments.
  3. We will do our best to allow for greater time between patients to reduce waiting time and reduce the number of patients outside the building and in our reception area. If possible, we ask that only patients receiving treatment come into the office. Children are welcome to bring one adult up with them.
  4. We have changed the tooth brushing area to hand washing station and we ask that, if possible, patients brush their teeth at home before coming to their appointments.

NEW PATIENTS

  1. We will contact you before your appointment with instructions to fill out health history form online. We can also email form to you.
  2. We welcome family members of children for consultations but we ask that if possible, only one adult member accompany child.

NEW CHECK-IN PROTOCOL

  1. Once you have arrived at the office we ask that you wait outside and text 617-543-3082 with your name. Once we are ready for you, we will text back to come up to the office on 2nd floor.
  2. Please make sure that your mouth and nose are covered.
  3. Please use hand sanitizer before you enter the office. There will be a station to the right of the office door on the second floor.
  4. We ask that you check in again at front desk where they will ask you several screening questions and take your temperature before seating you in operatory.

RECEPTION AREA CHANGES

  1. Chairs in reception area are positioned six feet apart from one another.
  2. All reading materials and magazines have been removed.
  3. Please refrain from eating in the office.

GETTING TREATMENT

  1. You will notice changes in the personal protective equipment our clinical assistants and doctor will be wearing with full face shields, masks, glasses/goggles. We have also placed plexiglass dividers between the operatory chairs and moved chairs 7 feet apart from one another.
  2. As always, we will continue to use all safety and disinfection precautions recommended by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the American Dental Association (ADA)
  3. Once in the treatment room, we will ask you to remove your face covering/mask
  4. We may ask you to rinse your mouth with 1% hydrogen peroxide.

CHECKING OUT

  1. We will ask you to put your face covering/mask back on before you leave the treatment chair.
  2. For payment and additional appointments, we will direct you to the front desk.
  3. We can set you up with our automated monthly payment system if you would like to minimize contact with the front desk.
